Adventure is really just an exercise in questionable decision making. – In October 2017, Joel Hibbard and Kevin Ehman undertook a self propelled surf trip around Graham Island in Haida Gwaii. After two weeks of surf, sand and pummelling weather they returned with some big smiles and a few tales to tell. Join them at Oak Bay Bikes as they share their excitement for exploration through video, photos and stories from their adventure.

UNORTHODOX BACKYARD ADVENTURE: Front-country bikepacking in the Sooke Hills

About an hour outside of Victoria, on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada, there’s a small village called Sooke—a place Andreas Hestler knew well, sitting on the edge of the wilderness. The idea to go bikepacking in theri very own backyard took root, and he called his friend Seamus McGrath, a co-conspirator from the last taint-smashing bikepacking adventure. Living nearby, he was game.
