We’ve made a few little changes to the Oak Bay Bicycles Cops for Cancer Criterium in Windsor Park, so here’s a new flier. Hit the jump to see the rest of the info!

For the past five years, the Oak Bay Bicycles Cops for Cancer Criterium has been raising money for Vancouver Island kids living with cancer. This is a club race (organized by Oak Bay Bicycles and police officers) with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock campaign. The races are 8:30 am-noon, on Sunday July 25th, at Windsor Park in Oak Bay. Please cycle to the event, but if you need to bring a vehicle, please park at the Oak Bay Marina.
*Registration is on site, please be there 45 minutes before the race you want to compete in.

Schedule (to be confirmed pending # of entries)

8:30 am – Group B (Intermediate)

9:30 am – Kids’ Challenge

10:00 am – Fixed Gear Race**

10:30 am – Group A (Men’s Elite)

*We will add a Group C (novice) event if numbers permit.
**All Fixed Gear bikes must be brakeless to ride, and helmets are mandatory.

Entry Fee

Minimum $10 donation. Tax receipts will be available at registration.

Oak Bay Bicycles Kids’ Challenge

Bring your kids out to join in the excitement of the OBB Cops for Cancer Criterium on July 25th, 2010! They’ll ride with some of Canada‘s best cyclists, and have a great time.

The event is FREE, but will be limited to the first 150 registered. If you’d like to guarantee a spot, register by email ahead of time!

What you’ll need to participate:
1. Your Bicycle (in safe working condition)
2. A properly fitting helmet
3. To be under 12 years old
