The Nanaimo 2 Victoria Cycling Challenge is an awesome charity ride that OBB sponsors. This year the ride is on Sunday, August 15th, 2010! It is the brainchild of Karl (the OBB Kaiser) and shop friend Ian Craib, who with a group of dedicated organizers and sponsors have grown the event considerably from its inception 3 years ago.
In a nutshell, it’s a 120km ride from Nanaimo to Victoria (with a shorter, 20km option available too) to raise awareness and funds for cancer research through the Canadian Cancer Society. You can find way more info and register on the Nanaimo2Victoria website. It’s a great ride—amazing views and a full police escort—, and it’s a great cause to support, so we hope to see lots of you folks out there. Click through to see a bunch of photos from last years ride and our new N2V jersey proof.

This is the jersey for this year, with artwork by Galen Davison. Limited numbers available, so if you want one in time for the ride shoot info@nanaimo2victoria.ca an email (include your name, size, and contact info)! Price is $80.
