This past week we have been busy at OBB Victoria, ‘recovering’ from Crankworx Whistler 2012. Once again the 10 day event did not disapoint, with hot weather, great trail conditions, and exciting competitions.
Max McCulloch and Joe Esnouf (see left and center below) from the OBB/Lavan Gravity Team raced at Crankworx 2012 in Whistler in the grueling Garbanzo Downhill Race. They both did well, competing against the best racers from all over the world. Joe entered in Senior Amateur Men (19 – 29) and placed in the top half of a field of 78 racers and Max raced in Amateur Boys (13-15 year olds) and placed in the top 10. Both Joe and Max were the youngest racers in their categories, so great job guys!

The Air Downhill competition a couple days later took the riders down the most famous trail in the world – “A Line”. Max McCulloch again from the OBB/Lavan Gravity team had a good run and out of 45 13-15 year old racers, came 23rd.

And lastly, one of the many highlights of this year’s competition was the Red Bull Joyride Slopestyle competition, (if you haven’t seen it already) check out the awesome video from our friends at Pinkbike!
